This is my 6th pair of footwear from Taft. The style is exactly my kind of thing, and these boots always get compliments from friends and strangers. The quality is excellent too. Be aware that they are dress boots and not work boots though. The leather soles will get scuffed up with wear, but no big deal as the Blake rapid construction means you can probably resole these two or three times before they're done for. The one thing that might not work for some people is the shoe sizing and last (foot shape). For those with wide feet, the boots may be either too narrow or too curved from the side to be comfortable. I would choose size using the European shoe size especially for models that don't come in US half sizes. For example, I typically wear Euro 43 which matches the US 10 for Taft, but a US 9.5 in other dress shoes often fits me best. Also, my legs below my calves are on the skinny side, and I have to lace these up somewhat tightly so the boot is secure. However, Taft in general work for me, and I will buy even more shoes and boots as they come out with styles that catch my eye!
