I love these. They’re very comfortable. This is my 12th pair of Tafts and I can only assume more purchases will be coming down the road.
These were my first pair of nicer dress shoes. I live in the PNW where it rains often. So the idea that these are waterproof stood out. I havnt rant my pair through any significant water or rain but i was a bit disappointed when I saw the leather absorb water the few times I accidentally dropped droplets of water onto them after washing my hands. Thankfully, it dried and didnt leave a water stain. I suppose I was expecting water to wick away from the leather, much like it would if they were sprayed with a water and stain repellant. I chose these because of their versatility for work and would have perhaps gone with a shoe I preferred the look of more, had I known how the leather performed. Overall, they’re a comfy set of dress shoes. Nothing overall wrong with them. However, I just question the waterproof capabilities of the leather versus doing regular maintenance on your leather shoes that should provide some level of waterproofing as well.
