This is my 7th pair of Taft boots. I was a little reserved about the viking collection. I thought the front lace area looked kind of weird but I ended up giving the a shot. I have a couple pairs of Tim's and these definitely look different that style. They fit the same as all my other boots, great. They are definitely warm and I got quite a few compliments from other dudes the first time I wore them. If a guy goes out of his way to compliment your shoes you are doing something right. They have grown on me a lot and I will for sure be buying another pair from the Viking Collection.
Usually an 8 with theses shoes. As stated the run large. 9 fits great. Durable and great for bad weather.
I am a woman who has a very hard time finding shoes that fit. After breaking my femur a few years ago, I have edema in my ankles, and I've always had wide feet. The combination of the two has relegated me to wearing sneakers, but I need ankle boots for added security when I walk. Enter the Taft Viking boot! I ordered a size larger than I normally do, and while they're just a little snug (because they're new) the length is generous and I can actually tie them all the way up the ankle. Thank you, Taft, for bringing style and substance back into my life. For what it's worth, my foot measures 4 inches wide, and the size 42 fits. Cheers and good health to everyone!
There’s not much to say about these boots really...except that they’re the best winter boots I’ve ever owned. Not only do they fit like a glove but they require no breaking in to be comfortable. On top of all that, they’re sharp and draw plenty of jealous eyes.
I took a gamble and bought these as a last chance in 13, but I should have sized up, and the 14s were sold out. As a result, I can't fit them and the cobbler I took them to had major issues trying to stretch them. Something about the tightness of the stitching. If they were the right size, I'm sure I'd love them, as the boots look amazing in person. I wish they weren't going away so I could buy some proper ones I could actually wear.
