We only use vegetable-tanned, chromium-free, full-grain leathers. These high-quality leathers make our shoes durable and comfortable. We partner with the best mills and tanneries in the world to produce bold styles using the most unique leathers in the world.
PAINTED BY HAND
Our leathers are painted, stained, and burnished by hand. Creating a unique shoe means not being limited on what we can design…finishing the shoes by hand gives us total freedom in our products and makes every single pair a unique piece of art.
HAND-CUT AND STITCHED
All of our patterns are cut by hand. We do not use molds or lasers to cut the leather. This takes much more time but it allows for only the best sections of a hide to be used.
SOFT CALFSKIN LINING
All of our shoes are fully-lined with soft calfskin leather, which means ultimate comfort. Most companies will only partially line their shoes, but we go the extra mile because it means a more comfortable shoe and less break-in time.
STACKED LEATHER SOLE
Stacked leather sole with rubber injections offers durability, comfort, and traction. Leather soles are universally recognized as the most luxurious and premium type of sole.
Our shoes feature Blake-stitched construction for longevity and comfort. It also allows for increased flexibility and a sleek silhouette. You will notice a big difference from normal, cemented shoes to a stitched pair of TAFT footwear. Get ready for comfort right out of the box.
All Taft shoes are design to match standard US dress shoe sizes. However, to ensure the perfect fit, please make sure:
All our shoes are standard D width. If you have wide feet, please select next size up.
If you wear in-between sizes, please size down for Taft boots and shoes.
Do not order your sneaker size. Please size down 0.5 - 1 US number.
In general, our shoes run slightly big. We suggest you size down if you are between sizes.

By selling exclusively online, we save our customers an average of $200 a pair. You can compare the quality of our shoes to $500 shoes you’d find sitting on the shelves at big box stores. From the beginning, we’ve wanted nothing more than to offer high quality at a lower price.
What is my Taft shoe size? Our shoes are made true to size. If you typically wear a size 9, you can order a size 9 in Taft shoes.
We only offer whole sizes...if you typically wear a half-size, we strongly recommend that you size down. For example, if you wear a size 10.5, we recommend that you size down to a 10.
The shoe I want is sold out... what should I do? We are working hard to manage our inventory and make sure we can have your size available. We will try and bring back older styles as often as possible. Be sure to sign up for the Back-in-Stock notifications on the product page to be the first to know when a shoe is back in stock.
How long will it take to receive my order? Once your order is placed, we will ship within 24 (unless it is a pre-order). Once shipped, the order will arrive in 4-7 days, depending on your location.

Free Returns are offered within the contiguous United States on all shoe purchases, unless otherwise noted on certain products (namely seconds). Return requests must be made within 14 days of the date you receive your shoes. Requests after this point will be denied.
Returns on pre-orders (custom production) are accepted, but will be returned for store credit only. No refunds will be offered.
Shipping for Exchanges or Returns is free of charge within the contiguous United States for one return or exchange per order. If a second exchange or return is requested, the cost of the second shipping will be covered by the customer.
