These boots tend to run about a size big, but man are they solid. The leather is impeccable quality, the construction is clearly durable and detailed, and the Ridgeway Sole gives a rugged, tough feel to these bad boys. This is an appreciating asset if I've ever seen one. Be about it.
These boots fit great out of box. They look incredible and are not as flashy as the other Taft boots so more of a low key look. I wish they were a little more wide, sometimes boot slips because it's so narrow. Definitely waterproof but the narrowness makes it harder to be a go to bad weather boot. Very evident that its the best materials available and clearly handmade.
I waited a few months before writing a review because I wanted to see how these held up during the winter. I wore these to work everyday, and they broke in fairly easily (within a week or so, with daily wear). I’m on my feet a lot and needed something that looks good but also holds up to daily standing and walking, especially during inclement weather (water resistance was a plus for me). After some wear, I had some issues with the pair I originally bought. Customer service was great and sent a replacement pair. I look forward to buying again in the future.
The Dragon Boot 3.0 is just incomparable. It's simple for casual wear, yet fancy enough if you really feel compelled to step your game up! It doesn't do too much, it doesn't do too little. It's beautiful. Sometimes I just gaze at it. Part of feeling good is looking good! So, if you wanna feel good, get this boot. - Larry!
I spent 1h trying out different colors and this was the best for me - looks good with grey, blue, black jeans! I think even with brown colors it would. The nature of the treatment and color Taft did allows the boot to always look slightly different, with different shade of dark brown and light clay-ish color where it gets scoffed.
