I bought the Dragon 2.0 in Forest. My foot is wide (AE: 11 EEE); additionally my left foot is a little bigger than the right. I took a chance buying the D width Dragon 2.0, and used the online store recommendation to buy size 12. The boots fit snugly across the tarsals but because of the waxy commander (suede?) leather was never uncomfortable and within a couple days fit perfectly. They have a very nice profile and don't make my feet look big. My wife thinks they look really sharp, and they'll be fine in any setting that doesn't require a suit. They are very well made: no flaws in the CF Stead leather, stitching, Goodyear welt: it is a handmade boot. I like the sole. Dark green color is subtle and different from anything else, and very attractive. I got a great price on these, as Dragon 3.0 is on the way in the fall. I look forward to Taft offering widths in the future. Taft styling is ahead of every other company, and I am very impressed with my boots' quality. These will be easy to keep clean, and I will maintain their waterproof with beeswax/dubbin. Came with extra laces, a shoe bag, and a 9" plastic shoe horn. Shipping was quick. Thank you!
I mostly wear black, but when I wear colors they tend to be navy and olive. These look amazing with black chinos and dark denim jeans. They are super comfortable. I had very little break in time and the outsoles are "hefty". I live in MN. These could survive sidewalks if one needed to in a pinch. You'd be cold though! Don't get these and expect them to be a winter boot for places colder than 30°.
I orderd these boots about 3 months ago, they are absolutely the best boots I have owned, the fit is great, these boots are well constructed, and I have received many compliments on these, would highly recommend.
These boots are not for me, sadly. They are an anniversary gift for my husband who has been in love with Taft boots for as long as I’ve known him, as well as a dragon lover AND his favorite color is green! An almost holy trinity of shoe features! All of our male friends that I have sneaky shown them to love them as well and spend many minutes just breathing in the beautiful leathery new shoe smell. The sizes do run a bit big so my husband has bought a size down in the past so that is what I did as well ( our anniversary is in July so fingers crossed that was the right move). The shipping was so fast that one would think they had been flown here on the back of the mythical beast they are named for. Surely King Arthur himself never owned boots of such quality. I will definitely purchase from Taft again and again (as finances allow as they are on the more expensive side of shoes, but well worth it as the quality is top notch) . The only downside is there is not a Dragon Boot for ladies. Surely Queen Guinevere would have liked to slay dragons in such style and comfort. Well done Taft, well done!
I purchased these as a gift and he absolutely loved it!! They look amazing! You guys definitely have a customer for life.
