Best Taft Boots yet
I've purchased the Troy Boots in Black before I got these. I've also tried on the Jack Boots in black. Both are very nice, but I think the Industrial Jack Boot is the best by far. For one, the rubber combat sole beats the leather soles for comfort and stability. And the rubber soles do better in ****** weather compared to leather soles. Secondly, I like the black wool with the tan leather. It helps it stand out more compared to the Black Troys or Black Jacks. Overall, Taft boots are very comfortable, and they don't need to be broken into like full leather boots. While I would avoid wearing them if it's raining or snowing heavily, you should be fine for the day after, when the weather is clear (but the ground is still wet). I usually wear a 10.5 in sneaker size, so I went with size 10 for the Industrial Jack Boot. There is a little extra space at my toes, but overall it's pretty snug. I've tried on the size 9, and I fit those as well, but my toes were a little too squashed, so I preferred the extra space given with the 10. You might prefer Taft size 9 over size 10 if you wear the same shoe size as me. The great thing about Taft is they allow free exchanges over a short period of time. So wear the shoes indoors before you make a final decision on your size.
Clean & Classy
Taft has single handily become my favorite line of boots and shoes. The craftsmanship is second to none & the designs are always noteworthy. This Jack Boot in Industrial is my 4th buy of the series & I could never get enough of them. You won’t find a better handcrafted boot/shoe for these prices.
Great looking boot!
Well constructed and beautiful boot. getting compliments every time I wear them.
So I cannot actually say how well my Fiance likes your shoes as they are a Christmas gift. I do however know that he is a big fan and I have caught him on more than one occasion admiring your craftsmanship. I decided to surprise him for Christmas and waited with anticipation until they arrived. I was SSSSOOOO sad to see a box on the porch with Taft written all over it:( He was MORE than thrilled but I would have loved to surprise him. Nonetheless I wrapped them anyhow and he will have to wait. I will be sure to let you know how he feels about them after the 25th.
